One thing you notice a lot is the pairing of the U.S. and French flags. In the Airborne Museum, they had moving testimonials of French citizens about the sacrifices these American boys made for them. It was really very moving.
Utah beach is just like I imagined it. Low dunes leading into flat marshy interior.
