Omaha Beach

We didn't make the American Cemetary before it closed, sparing us some "Longest Day" jokes, but extending our trip until tomorrow. But we looked out over the First Division's landing areas. Just awe inspiring the beach they had to cover. 

These first photos look down on the landing beach. 

That little dot in the lower right by the tidal pool?  That's a person. 

This is halfway down.

Those are people at the top of the cliff.
